Map Poster Depicts the Golden Age of Piracy

RHINEBECK, N.Y., August 28, 2014 --September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. This year, don't just talk like a pirate: walk (the plank) and act like one! You can learn all about the Golden Age of Piracy with the new, lavishly illustrated, super-sized map poster, The Age of Pirates.

The Age of Pirates includes the Pirate Code of Conduct, detailed diagrams of a pirate ship and deck cannon, rosters of weapons, pirate flags, navigation instruments and engravings of famous pirates. To make it all complete, there are snarling brigands, seductive mermaids and fearsome sea monsters-all set on a current world map.

Created in Europe in the style of ancient cartography, the 33x47-inch poster is whimsical as well as highly informative. It will appeal to aficionados of nautical history along with the pirate-lover in all of us.

The Age of Pirates is distributed in the United States by Bella Terra Publishing. For more information, visit BellaTerraMaps.com or call 845-876-5750.
